THE Ramay

That guy, right there, in the middle, standing in that "Hail Feurer" stance, yeah, he does stuff like that a lot. The people who meet him for the first time actually feel like they're watching a reincarnation of "Me, Myself & Irene"s Jim Carey, with more than two split personalities. But although that theory seems more than probable, we, the people who have been working with this gem of a human being assure you, that's not the case. He's just naturally bonkers, that's all. But, then again, all self-proclaimed geniuses are bonkers.
That, ladies & gentlemen, is Omer Ramay. & if you plan to attend Avaaz'12 you might just be able to get a glimpse of Ramay in action, & then you will understand why the whole Avaaz'12 "Gang of Goons" would have been incomplete without him.
Omer Ramay, ladies & gentlemen, not just a mere man, but a complete Broadway play.

& the rest of them, yeah, well, they're important too.

Small Victories & Big Arguments

The Avaaz Secretariat is full of people going crazy as usual. With small victories, like when an MOU gets signed or when we get our share of resources allotted to us from the university admin, & seemingly huge arguments, we're giving this event all that we've got to bring you a bigger, better show than you've seen in the history of Tamasha.

So It Begins.

AND Tamasha is back again, this time in a new packaging, & better & bigger than before (seems we keep trying to outdo ourselves as the years pass by. lol). This time the administration has changed a bit, new people have been brought on to show give our idea a new feel.

The main idea of Avaaz (Tamasha) ’12 stays the same; bring all the artists (better known as ‘The Crazies’) under one roof & give them national level platform to showcase their talent & how it can bring a change to the condition we are all in right now.

What better place to carry out such a grand-scale event than the federal capital of Pakistan. We should warn you all who are participating, especially our friends coming in from down south; it’s REAL chilly up here, so pack all the warm clothes you can. We wouldn’t want our artists & intellectuals getting struck by the strong northern cold.

We can’t wait to get this show on the road. Come 3rd February, Islamabad is going to witness a artistic brilliance at the hands of some of the youngest (& mostly self-taught) ‘professionals’ in the fields of:
  • Declamation
  • Painting
  • Writing
  • Sketching
  • Filming
  • Photography
  • Improvised Comedy
  • Cultural Fusion

These sub-events of Avaaz’12, along with many others aim to bring together all the talent there i in Pakistan & use the collective effect of all those creative minds from all those different fronts to bring the change that we all wish to see.
